What is the Kent and Medway Citizens Panel (KMCP)? The KMCP is a panel of Kent and Medway residents being recruited on behalf of KM Group and Kent County Council (KCC). The panel will be approached for feedback on a variety of topics.
Who is involved in KMCP? The KMCP is a joint initiative between KM Group and Kent County Council (KCC) and both parties are the primary owners of the KMCP. Ipsos MORI is maintaining the panel and are responsible for holding the database of all panel members kept on their secure system.
Why should I join the panel? Being part of KMCP means you get to learn about, and give feedback on, new and interesting ideas, services and products. If you want your opinions heard this is the way to do it. KMCP panellists will provide KM Group and KCC with the information they need to improve things, and we hope you will find membership to be fulfilling.
What's in it for me? This is a great chance to have a say and have a direct impact on issues affecting Kent. It should be fun to take part and informative too. To show our appreciation for your valuable input we'll be running a prize draw whenever we run a survey.
What if I have a friend who wants to join the panel - how can they join? They can come onto the website and join the panel. New joiners are asked a few basic questions about themselves, such as whether they are a man or a woman, in what area of Kent do they live, to which age group do they belong, etc. As long as you are 16 years of age or older and live in Kent, you can become a member!
How will the surveys be carried out? Surveys will be carried out online, over the telephone, face-to-face in the panel member's home or using a paper questionnaire. When you first joined, you indicated how you wanted to be contacted by us for surveys ? we'll contact you using whatever method you prefer. We believe most surveys will be carried out online.
Who will contact panel members to take part in a survey? Ipsos MORI will contact panel members and ask them to take part in a survey. Panel members who have specifically agreed to be re-contacted by either KM Group or KCC may also receive a request to take part in a survey by KM Group or KCC. Panel members will always, of course, have the opportunity to decline to take part in a survey.
How often will panel members be contacted? Ipsos MORI will be carrying out intermittent surveys for KM Group and KCC and, for each survey we will draw a sample of panel members who fall into the required target audience. As you can imagine, it is very difficult to estimate likely frequency of contact at this early stage and we anticipate up to two to three times a year ? perhaps less frequently.
Is my personal information safe? Your privacy is always respected and the confidentiality of your answers is strictly maintained. Your opinions and profile will be grouped and analysed along with those of other participants, and we will never sell or give away your name and contact information. Your survey responses will NOT be used to personally identify you to anyone. The information you give will be stored by Ipsos MORI and not available to anyone ? we guarantee this. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
Now that I've joined, how do I take part? You don't have to do anything - we'll contact you when we're looking for feedback and the opinions of Kent residents on any of a number of topics ? from media products, to council services, to new initiatives.
How can I unsubscribe from the KMCP panel? If at any time you no longer want to be a member of KMCP, send us an email at info@kmcp.co.uk and we will remove your name from our records.
